About Joey
Joey Feerer is a Play-by-Play broadcaster from Greenwood Village, Colorado and is currently the voice of Colorado School of Mines (D2) Men's & Women's Soccer team. He is also a Broadcaster for a variety of sports at the University of Wyoming (D1), Colorado College (D1/D3) and freelances for other colleges around the Denver area.
He is a 2023 graduate of The Ohio State University and called a wide range of both Men's and Women's sports on TV and Radio. He called over 200 games and 9 different sports for Ohio State on Big Ten Plus and Scarlet and Gray Sports Radio. Previously with SGSR, he was the Director of Media for the 2022 year and handled the station's social media across a range of different media platforms. In the summer of 2022, Joey interned for the Mile High Collegiate baseball league and was tasked with PA announcing, setting up cameras for live-streamed games, and scoring games on the Game Changer App. He managed over 30 games and 20 teams.
Joey spent the 2023 summer in Wisconsin Rapids, WI. He was the Radio Broadcaster and Director of Media Relations for the Wisconsin Rapids Rafters in the Northwoods League, calling 72 games in a 76 day span on the local station of WFHR 97.5 FM / 1320 AM. Joey also wrote postgame press releases, assisted in team travel, and managed the day to day roster to ensure it was up to date prior to each game.​
Joey served as a Media Relations Intern with the Colorado Avalanche for the 2024-25 season. He created and distributed credentials to all media, staff, and game attendees. He set up the press box and announcer booths prior to the game by distributing name tags, stats, and seating charts. He also captured and transcribed audio from players in the locker room.
